On April 11 at 11 a.m., a Grand Opening Celebration will be held for Braille and Talking Books @ Taylor Community Library. I’m so proud of all the work Taylor Community Library staff and Library Board have put into making the Braille and Talking Books program a successful reality. To everyone who has helped get this program in place, THANK YOU!
The celebration includes a short presentation, ribbon cutting, and best of all, CAKE! Can you tell I love cake? After the presentation and ribbon cutting, staff will be giving library tours, as well as demonstrating items from the Assistive Technology Lab. Magnifiers, a walker, and other devices will all be available for in-library use. I’m proud to say that many of these items were purchased by Library Access Foundation and donated to Taylor Community Library.
Even if you don’t attend the grand opening celebration, I hope you’ll stop by the library to check out the beneficial ways Library Access Foundation assists the Braille and Talking Books program in providing improved services to people with disabilities.
Imagine the future,
P.P.P.S. Did I mention I LOVE cake?
