To everyone who has helped get this program in place, THANK YOU!

April 11 at 11 a.m.: Grand Opening Celebration of Braille & Talking Books.

The celebration includes a short presentation, ribbon cutting, and best of all, CAKE! Can you tell I love cake? After the presentation and ribbon cutting, staff will be giving library tours, as well as demonstrating items from the Assistive Technology Lab. Magnifiers, a walker, and other devices will all be available for in-library use. I’m proud to say that many of these items were purchased by Library Access Foundation and donated to Taylor Community Library.

Even if you don’t attend the grand opening celebration, I hope you’ll stop by the library to check out the beneficial ways Library Access Foundation assists the Braille and Talking Books program in providing improved services to people with disabilities.

Imagine the future,
Vanessa.

P.S. Two days before the Grand Opening Celebration, I’ll be running the Meteor 10K at the Martian Invasion of Races. Please support my efforts by making a $10 donation to Library Access Foundation!

P.P.S. Don’t forget I’m asking people to donate $13 in support of the Free Press Half Marathon I’ll be running in October.

P.P.P.S. Did I mention I LOVE cake?
